Can I take my hp instant print printer with me when I travel in the US? Will it automatically work with different wifi?

Yes, it should work as long as you connect the pritner to a wireless network with a standard internet access (public wifis such as hotel or free WiFis with internet access may require a web based login or accepting its terms via a web page, for such a network the printer will not be able to access the internet).
