Hello, @nicovon – Hope you are well 🙂
Thank you for becoming an HP Forum member. It is a fantastic location to get help from the community, get suggestions and find what has worked for others!
I see that you are thinking about replacing the print head on your Officejet printer. Did you try to clean the print head to try and fix the issue?
If not, please try the steps here: https://www.hp.com/us-en/shop/tech-takes/how-to-clean-printhead
You can also follow the steps listed in this video (while the video is made on a different printer, the steps are the same) :

If the issue is not fixed, I’d suggest you go for an upgraded printer as this is an older printer model and replacing the print head will not guarantee the issue resolution.
Please let me know if this resolves the issue, or if you require further assistance!
Good luck 🙂
