ISP is upgrading Modem to a DOCSIS 3.0 model. My present router, Linksis E 3200 is not fully compatible with the new modem so I will have to upgrade to a Dual band AC Smart WiFi model.
Is the wireless in this 8600 printer compatible with the AC standard. If not, can it be upgraded via a download to make the wireless compatible. Getting in over my head me thinks.

The wireless connection in the Officejet Pro 8600 is compatible with 802.11n connection on the 2.4Ghz band. Check your new router (or candidates for a new router), most AC routers will also support N connections.

Sorry you can't. It's not a wireless fax. Requires a standard analog phone line.
