I am trying to connect my printer to the network. It was connected before, but someone kept printing to it, so I tried to password protect my computer. Now it will no longer connect to the network, and says that it is unable to find the SSID or an unknown error. I want to reset it to its factory default settings to better my chances of putting it back online.

Hi @Temperdox,

Welcome to HP Forums, this is a great place to get support, find answers and tips.

Thank you for posting your query. I'll be more than glad to help you.

I understand that you want to reset your HP DeskJet 3700 All-in-One Printer to the factory defaults.

Let's go through a few steps that may help to fix this issue.

Press the Wireless button and the Cancel button from the printer control panel at the same time, and then hold them for three seconds.

Let me know how this works.

You have a good day ahead.

That did not work. This is what it says:

Network Setup
Verify wireless conection

Printer Model: HP DESKJET 3700 SERIES

Wireless Network Name (SSID): SCOTTCAMPUS

                                    MAC Address: EC:8E:B5:82:7C:72

Issue: Teh network name (SSID) you entered manually could not be found.

Solution: Check that your wireless router is powered on. When manually entering your network name (SSID), make sure you enter it exactly including upper and lower case letters and any spaces.

I did not enter the SSID manually. It was scanned off of my laptop, and should have transfered over to the printer.
