Hi all,

My printer is having problem printing with black ink cartridge, however if I removed the cartridge, i have no problem printing in colour so like to seek advices to see if anyone know whether is the issue with the black ink slot/print head or the cartridge? I have attached printout for review.

Tried the cleaning process for multiple times and no improvement noted.

I don't want to waste money buying a new black ink cartridge to find out it is the slot/print head issue.

In fact the current black cartridge is still 3/4 full! 😞

Thanks in advancehp.jpg

Get a cup and put 1/4" of hot water in it.
Remove the black cartridge and put it nozzle down in the water.
Soak for five minutes, then remove and clean the contacts with a lint free wipe.
Run a cleaning cycle.

Hi,

Thanks for your response.

Your method does help to improve the printout however still not able to print perfectly.

So I guessed the issue is the ink cartridge not the print head issue? Should be alright for me to get a new black ink?

Thank you.
