After hooking up new HP8710 I tried to print a card from my Hallmark card program. I used the Hallmark print wizard to set up printer so the cards would print properly. They would not print properly on the two sided cards even though I follwed the directions on the print wizard. When I responded on the screen "NO" it did not print properly my only option is to try it again with the same result. My next effort was to uninstall the card program and reinstall it. I tried to run the print wizard again and now it won't even print out the test pages. All I get is a dialog box that want me to save the test page. I save it and still nothing prints. My old HP6700 worked like a charm so I'm thinking it's not the card program.

Welcome to the HP Forums 🙂 I would like to take a moment and thank you for using this forum, it is a great place to find answers.
Let's try to do a root uninstall and reinstall of the software:
Unplug any USB cable, if any, before doing this.
1.) In Windows, search for and open Programs and features
2.) Select your HP Printer
3.) Select Uninstall
4.) In Windows, search for and open Devices and printers
5.) In the Devices and Printers windows look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose 'Delete' or 'Remove Device'
6.) Open up the run command with the "Windows key + R" key combo.
7.) Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between “printui.exe” and “/s”)
8.) Click on the "Drivers" tab
9.) Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click Remove at the bottom
10.) Select Ok
11.) Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows
12.) Close Devices and Printers
13.) Open up the run command with the "Windows key + R" key combo.
14.) Type c:/programdata and click Ok. Go to Hewlett Packard folder, remove any printer related folders & files.
15.) Restart the computer.
Once done, please download and install the software from here:

I followed all the directions and the printer is working. I opened the hallmark program and the print wizard came up again and when I hit next to run a test page it wants me to save it as a document which I did but it still does not print the pages.I have never had that come up when running the print wizard before. When I followed your directions there were still some things installed from my 6700 which I thought I uninstalled previously. I thought perhaps that was the reason the card program wouldn't print...not so I guess. If you have any other things I can try it would be helpful. I bought this printer to print cards in particular so this is very disappointing. I will also try to contact Hallmark tomorrow as they are gone for the day.
Thank you for anything you can suggest.

If you're able to make a copy and can print from all the other programs, except this particular one, I think then the Printer is working fine.
You can try uninstalling an reinstalling the Hallmark Program and check if that helps.

Thank you for your help. I was finally able to contact Hallmark and the technician walked me through several things and it is now working so in the end it was a problem with the program not the printer accepting the program.
Thanks again for your efforts!
