Hi @Meka1077,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

When your printer indicates a printer head issue, it typically means there might be a problem with the printhead’s functionality, alignment, or its connection. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the issue:

Restart Your Printer:

  • Turn off the printer and disconnect the power cord.
  • Wait for about 60 seconds before plugging it back in and turning it on.

Check for Proper Installation:

  • Open the printer’s access door to ensure the printhead is installed correctly.
  • Make sure it is securely in place and locked.

Clean the Printhead:

  • Use your printer's automatic cleaning function to clean the printhead. This option is usually available in the printer's settings menu.
  • Ensure the printhead nozzles are not clogged with dried ink.

Align the Printhead:

  • Access the printer’s control panel and look for an option to align the printhead. Following the on-screen instructions to perform an alignment can often correct issues.

Replace the Printhead:

  • If cleaning and aligning the printhead does not resolve the issue, it may be necessary to replace the printhead.
  • Ensure you are using the correct model printhead for your printer.

    I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
