Could I ask for some help please ?
I have just put in the new colour and black cartridges in my J4580 printer. These are not HP cartridges. I have had the printer for many years and not had this problem before.
There is a continual fault shown with the black cartridge : “Print Cartridge Problem”. I have taken it out and in many times. I have cleaned the contacts inside and out. I have unplugged and reset the machine as referred to on the internet but nothing makes it work.
I have even put the old black cartridge back in ( I know that there is virtually no ink in it) and that works as normal i.e it asks me to start the realignment. When I then put the new cartridge back in it says “cartridge fault” again.
I bought another new (nonHP) black cartridge but this gives me the same "black cartridge problem". Does anyone have any ideas please.?
