Hi I've just joined Instant Ink and received my first delivery.
It had one Tri Colour cartridge but no Black cartridge.
I can't seem to find any contact details.
Has anyone had a similar problem or can give advice?
Printer is Envy 4524.
Thanks.
Steve

Patience goes with the territory. Smiling.
Yes, you need both Cartridges to be Instant Ink.
Contact support and have them send you the black.
Meanwhile, continue to use your “regular Ink” cartridges.

Well, rats.
HP Instant Ink - Obtaining Replacement Ink Cartridges
Includes instructions (#7-#8) if you do not receive (or need replacement) Instant Ink cartridges
If the ink in the printer is "regular" ink (not Instant Ink cartridges):
Assuming you still have regular ink for / in the printer, do not (now) install the color Instant Ink cartridge. Wait to install both Instant Ink cartridges when you receive the black Instant Ink cartridge.

Sorry, am a bit naive so may be a silly question.
They are non regular inks currently in printer but as I have just enrolled I expected both (it suggested that in the literature as I joined).
So, my naive question is, does the printer know I still have quite a bit of non regular black ink? And will it send black replacement when ready?
Thanks again for the reply.

Sorry, now I am confused -- tripping over descriptions. Smiling
I do not understand "non regular ink".
There are two types of Ink cartridges:
- Instant Ink cartridges
and
- Everything else -- "Regular" ink
So, do you have "Instant Ink" cartridges in the printer now?
Did the printer come with Instant Ink Ready cartridges?
If the answer is yes, you have Instant Ink in the printer, and the Black Instant Ink cartridge still has ink in it, then you were sent the proper shipment (one colour cartridge of Instant Ink). Black will be sent when it is needed.
HP Instant Ink - Is My HP Instant Ink Cartridge Broken?
Partial Excerpt:
Some HP Instant Ink cartridges are physically larger than standard ink cartridges. The end of an HP Instant Ink cartridge might stick out further than standard ink cartridges, but your printer is designed to work with larger ink cartridges.

- Standard ink cartridge
- HP Instant Ink cartridge
If you don't know what you have in the printer, contact the Support group and ask a couple of questions -- staff can help sort the immediate "black ink" issue and answer any other questions you have.
