I got a kernel error on my printer. The power button will not shut the computer off. The only way to turn it off is to unplug it.  When I plug it back in it loads the hp screen and won't do anything.  To make matters worse, I thought if I uninstalled then reinstalled the printer driver it might get rid of the Kernel error.  Well, didn't go so well.  The app instructions don't work and any HP's video instructions don't match the app and are for pc's.  I search and looked for about 2 hours on the HP website and could not find any mac instructions for the app. So, now I am not sure if the printer driver won't load because of the Kernel error or because I can't find how to load it for a mac from the app.

I figure if I start with fixing the Kernel error first I will be able to download the printer driver.  This is the second time this has happened with an HP printer. The first time I just went and bought another printer, if I have to do that again, it won't be an HP.  I am hoping someone knows how to fix a Kernel error.
