I have an HP8025 printer that has performed flawlessly for several years. Just recently it goes offline with the following symptom: The LCD display turns solid white. If I press the power button, I see the HP logo followed with the “gas gauge,” indicating that something is reloading. Then the printer does some sort of a brief internal check. I then see a normal display on the LCD. All is well. This process takes only about one minute. But after a few hours the printer goes offline, and I have to again physically press the power button and repeat the process I just described. What’s happening and how can I solve this problem? Thank you.

Hi @wireless925,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It seems like you're experiencing an issue with your HP OfficeJet Pro 8025 All-In-One Printer where the LCD display turns solid white and the printer goes through a reboot or reloading process. This could be due to several reasons, and here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the issue.
Power Cycle the Printer:
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
- Wait for about 1-2 minutes.
- Plug it back in and turn it on.
Check for Paper Jams:
- Sometimes, paper jams or obstructions in the paper path can cause such issues. Open the printer and carefully check for any stuck paper or debris.
Firmware Update:
- Ensure your printer has the latest firmware installed. You can usually update the firmware from the printer's control panel or the HP website.
Check for Error Messages:
- If the LCD display shows any error messages during the startup process, take note of them. These messages can help pinpoint the problem.
Reset to Factory Defaults:
- If the issue persists, you may want to perform a factory reset. Please consult your printer's manual for instructions on how to do this, as the process may vary by model.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
