When printing labels (eg Avery L7160), although the print preview looks OK, the labels on the actual print do not spread equally down the page. The address on the top row of labels is in the correct place but the address on the second row is displaced slightly upwards and this effect increases for each row of labels. This means that only 6 of the possible 21 labels are usable.

The label sheet is slipping, you may want to try another brand.

The Avery L7160 is meant to be used with laser printers only.

Thanks for your reply.
I may have misled you. The labels I am using are actually Staples Multiuse, compatible with Avery template L7160 and it says on the box "Compatible with all Inkjet, Laser Printers & Copiers".
Would you please explain why a laser printer would work but an inkjet would not.

The materials used for a laser printer are designed for the high heat used by the laser.

Thanks again for replying.
I do not understand.
As I said before, the labels I am using are supposed to be compatible with Inkjet and Laser Printers.
I have used these labels successfully with my previous simple basic Inkjet printer.
Are you saying that materials (labels) designed for use with a Laser printer using high heat are not suitable for an Inkjet printer using lower heat?

Your question was about laser labels.
The Staples labels should work provided the rubber feed rollers are in good shape. (free of dust)
