Try these steps:
Check Printer Connection:
- Ensure the printer is connected to the same network as your laptop.
- Verify that there is a stable network connection. Reconnect to the Wi-Fi if necessary.
Printer Configuration:
- Open 'Devices and Printers' from the Control Panel to ensure the Canon printer is selected as the default printer.
- Remove and then re-add the printer in Windows settings. Go to Settings > Devices > Printers & scanners.
Update Printer Drivers:
- Visit the Canon Support site to download the latest drivers for your printer model compatible with Windows 11.
- Install the newest driver and restart your laptop.
Run the Printer Troubleshooter:
- In Windows, search for and run the “Printer Troubleshooter” which can detect and resolve common printing issues.
Clear Print Queue:
- Open Print Spooler by searching for "Services" and selecting Print Spooler > Restart.
Firewall/Antivirus Settings:
- Temporarily disable firewall or antivirus software that might be blocking the connection between your laptop and printer.
Check for Windows Updates:

Review Printer Status:
- Ensure the printer is showing online and ready status.
