HP LaserJet 5200tn
Tray 1: Letter
Tray 2: 11x17
Error: 13.01.00 Jam In Tray 2
------------------------------
The Properties Preferences are already set up in Windows 10. In the printer menu, Tray 2 is set to print with 11x17.
Most times when I send an 11"x17" print, it says "Load Tray 2, Bond 11x17" and the Attention light will be flashing. If I hit the Select button, it would ask to verify it is the Tray 2 with 11x17, then I hit the Select button again, then, the printer will pick up the paper in Tray 2 and prints. On this note, I don't think it is the Tray 2 roller.
I have double checked the tray to make sure all the guards are well sited. I acts like a sensor issue; since the roller picks up the paper.
Once in a while, I get the error13.01.00, even though there is not paper jam.
Cheers and wishing you all a wonderful new year!

It's the rubber rollers like 99%. You get a 13.01 if the rubber rollers are worn out and they can't pick up the sheet. There is no jam but there is no paper pickup and you get the jam message.
The printer measures the time from the roller rotation signal to the sheet edge hitting a paper sensor. When printer rollers are worn out, there is no paper pickup, the sheet edge doesn't trigger a paper sensor, and you get a paper jam even if there is no jammed paper.

Just curious, when I send a print, nothing mechanical even moves or starts, the printer stays silent till I get the 13.01.00 error or there will be a warning to select the correct tray. If the roller won't pick up the paper, won't there be at least a little noise before the issue?
I got the service manual for the 5200 series, but thought the part number for the roller would be there.
Where would be a good source of getting part numbers (Tray 2 Pickup Roller)?
Bye the way, your Bob Marley analogy really cracked me up, big time. Good one indeed!

You can print internal pages from the printer's reports menu, let's forget about the computer just to eliminate possible computer driver issues.
You need to check that you have the correct paper size and type set for tray 2, make sure you select the paper type to Plain paper. Test the printer by printing internal pages from the reports menu or diagnostics menu. Remove paper pickup rollers and clean them in warm water you can use soap, cleaning will give a better grip between rubber and paper.

The printer setting paper "Plain" not matches the computer's "Bond".
Now I have both to match, and the printer would at least tend to pick up the paper, but will not pick it up.
Previously, there would be no mechanical movement.
I cleanup up the roller as your instructed. Since the printer is still not picking up the paper (Tray 2/11x17), should I just get a new roller? Is the part number RM1-0036-000 for the LaserJet 5200tn?
Thanks
