HP LaserJet M110w Printer

LaserJet M110w - attention light blinking, unable to print.  The printer information page prints without issue, so there is no paper path jam or toner issue.

The printer previously printed, installed approximately 11 months ago, and still within warranty period.

The reports say that there is an account issue, but am not sure which account is in question.  The instant ink plan is neither needed nor wanted also, so I see no need for this account to be active,

Error says Check Your HP Smart Account, unable to print until resolved. When I go on to both the website and the HP Smart mobile app there are no details about what the problem is.

This printer is installed on both a Win 10 and a Win 11 computer.

This is taking far too much of our time in trying to resolve the problem - the printer is NOT FIT for PURPOSE, or HP are at fault as others seem to have very similar problems that are not being resolved on this forum.

Hi Elohi - sorry, no.  We had tried your suggestions last week and the printer still gave the same response: flashing orange light and refusing to print.

However, the printer is now working properly again. Perform a factory reset and re-install on the same HP account!  Again rejecting the 'instant ink' offer.  This was done using Win 11, and the printer instantly worked properly with Win10.

Hope this might help some others with the same problem.

Best of luck from a couple of v v v elderly PC users!

Hi @JohnB356,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd like to help!

To be able to answer you effectively, we need some information.

Were you enrolled or canceled instant ink?

Meanwhile, go through this document and perform the steps, and see if that helps.

Update the FIRMWARE for both Windows 10 and 11

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
