My LaserJet printer is stuck in a loop where it turns on, initializes, gives a 79 Service Error, turns off and then repeating the cycle. It doesn't stay on long enough to connect to the computer. Tried all HP recommendations but nothing works. Could use some help. Thanks

This is a very common error. You can see many today. Please try

Thanks but I have already tried what has been suggested in the link. The printer seem to be in some sort of loop and doesn't stabilize long enough to connect with the computer or for me to do something on the screen. Everything is disconnected, and I turned off wifi in the house. After power is turned on it initializes-reports the error-turns off- then turns on and repeats that sequence until I turn it off. This all started after a software update was downloaded yesterday.

I am having the same issue with my Color LaserJet Pro MFP M281fdw. The printer is in a loop of giving a 79 Service Error then cycling off and back on, just to give same error. I reset the printer by holding bottom right corner of view screen but as soon as I turn on wireless connection it goes right back to this loop. This issue has continued for weeks on this HP board but no response or update from the manufacturer yet?
I have already done troubleshooting suggested by this document: https://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c05029970
Please help as it is hurting our ability to conduct business.

I think the firmware update has corrupted the wifi feature of the printer. I tried everything the community has mentioned with no relief to the endless cycle of on and off and service error messages. I reset to factory default settings and that didn't work either. I disabled the wifi to see what would happen which stopped the cycle. I connected my mac to the printer with A-to-B USB cable to direct connect and that seems to be working for now. But now I can't print wirelessly. HP please respond. This is ridiculous there is not a hep desk for technical issues, especially when you force send out updates. This will be my last HP purchase.
