I have a LaserJet Pro 400 color M451nw. Which I have had for years and just yesterday, it started printing documents with the following error message...

PCL XL Error

Subsystem: KERNEL

Error: IllegalAttribute

File Name: kerlib.c

Line Number: 8904

and it continuously prints nonstop.

Please help on how to fix this.

Thank you!

Have you updated to the most current driver? These types of errors are generated when an print code is embedded in the file that the printer driver cannot understand. Ideally I would suggest you use the HP Universal printer driver for this application.

Good morning and thank you for your response. I will double check to confirm I have the latest driver. I do have another question. I currently use this printer as a network printer. Do I need to download the updated driver to all computers?

I updated the driver to the main computer and it fixed the issue. Thank you so much for your help
