Relatively new printer, just installed new black cartridge for the first time, tried to print and when I do some of the letters at the end or beginning of a line appear to 'fall off' the page. It doesn't happen on every line. I did a print quality diagnostic and it was fine apart from one letter on the end of the first line. All the lines to test alignment were good. Also tried printing from my iPad as well as laptop, same issue. The wifi connection is good, just don't know what's going on. the problem started with the new cartridge.

Welcome to HP support community.
Follow the below steps if you are using HP Envy 5000 printer.
Manually clean the area around the ink nozzles

Distilled or bottled water

Lightly dampen a clean, lint-free cloth or swab with bottled or distilled water.

Thank you so much. I had the same exact issue with my HP Envy 5000 (Windows 10 64-bit). I tried the HP Print and Scan Doctor, but it didn't fix my issue. Next, I opened the printer, gently wiped the cartridge per your instructions and then dried it using the same cloth. After re-inserting the cartridge, my document printed just fine. I'm using HP Instant Ink so all this testing unfortunately used 6 pages of my monthly allocation, but now the printer works so I'm happy.
