Hello, I just put in new ink cartridges for the printer. For some reason it will not recognize the cartridges and keeps blinking start with the Cyan to the Black indicator light. I have tried all the suggestions I can find with nothing working. I need my printer and need some help please. Thank You.

Thank you for posting on HP Support Community.

 

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, It seems like printhead is not correctly installed.
I appreciate your efforts to try and resolve the issue. Use the following steps to make sure that the printhead is correctly installed.

Step one: Remove the printhead

  1. Make sure that the product is on.

  2. Lift the top cover. The carriage moves to the center of the product.

  3. Wait until the carriage is idle and silent.

  4. Disconnect the power cord from the back of the product.

  5. Remove the cartridges. Press the tab on each cartridge, and then remove each cartridge from its slot.

  6. Lift the latch handle on the carriage until it stops.

  7. Lift the printhead straight up to remove it.

To reinstall the printhead follow the steps from this article: Blinking Lights on the HP Officejet 6000 (refer to the Solution One: Check the printhead installation)
