I have a brand new HP 135w laser printer with the pre-installed HP 107A black original laser toner cartridge. I have been using the printer for about 5 days. I've printed less than 100 pages.

Now I am seeing the "low toner" warning.

 

I have tried to reset the printer several times, and I have taken the cartridge out and shaken it.

 

Still getting the warning.

What is the exact page printed count you have?

I don't know the exact count. I've had the printer a few days only. The cartridge is supposedly good for 1000 pages. So I can guarantee I've not printed anywhere near that amount. Maximum 200 pages.

The cartridge that came with the new printer is good for 500 pages at 5% coverage. You need to know the exact page count to compare the numbers.

I have provide an image of the cartridge from my printer. The specs for this say it is good for 1,000 pages.

Do you actually work for HP? Your LinkedIn Profile doesn't indicate that you represent HP.

I hope somebody here can provide better information. It is a big waste of time already and that is made worse by incorrect responses such as the above.

I have now discovered the exact print count: 256. I got this from the EWS window using HP Smart. It would be nice if support people could explain how to do this instead of just demanding this info.
