The scanner glass on this multi-function device broke into several pieces after it was shipped cross country. I removed as much of the broken glass as possible. I'd still like to use the device to print even if the scanner won't work. When I power on the printer, it goes through it's start up procedure and gets stuck at Initializing with the Ready and Attention lights both flashing. The scanner head/bar is all the way to the left and moves about an inch during startup. I didn't see any glass under it or in the track it travels along.

Is there any way to get past this initializing error so I can still print with this device?
