Hendrik,

You were absolutely correct .... it was a faulty Fax board.

I removed it and the printer, scanner, copier now work as previously.

Like you, I also receive the "missing fax card" error message during initialisation. I can live with replying "ok" to that message.

Thank you for taking the time to respond. Very much appreciated from here in Australia.

PS - I did try another NVRAM initialisation hoping that may clear the system from looking for the fax card, but the fax error prevails.
