Product: HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M183fw
HELP! I replaced my MFP M183FW Toner replacement with 215A (not OEM) and now its saying supply problem. I used the previous chips and checked all the connections and ensured this toner is compatible. How do I get it to recognize the new toner?

Hi @kylejackson,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.
I suggest that you follow the steps listed below:
- Press the Power button to turn the product off and disconnect the power cable.
- Check and remove any packing material/orange tape from the toner cartridge, and from inside the printer.
- Clean the toner cartridge contact (metal pins) which is mounted inside the printer and check for any obstacles.
- Check & clean the vertical sensor flag. Make sure flag toggles freely.
- Check whether or not the cartridge chip (e-label) is in close touch with metal points. If not, press the cartridge a little to see if the issue disappears.
- Install the toner cartridge back and make sure it clicks in place.
- For the Products without the display
Check in the Tool Box of the printer and identify the part number. If no toner level – Replace the Toner.

I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
