Samsung ml2525 laser printer

I have a Samsung ML2525 and am told HP now 'owns' that line.  My issue: The status light is solid red.  The 'Easy Print Manager' diagnostic software provided tells me the printer is 'Not available'.  It is.  I can print to it.  So the diagnostic software is useless.  As mentioned, it prints just fine.  What does the solid red status light mean?  The only thing I could find somewhat related via Google paired the solid red with a flashing red but there's only one light active on the machine and its solid red.

 

I see these forums aren't very active so I'm not expecting much but figured I'd give it a shot by asking here as this is the only place where Samsung printers are supported.
