Its gone one year when I owned the printer HP Envy 6000 series. Its work fine in any kind of paper. Was printing ok. I do not have to change or adjust anything in any settings. After one year when the warranty gone everything was change. My printer suddenly do not recognised the paper and keep ask me to load paper. Its printing only on plain normal paper. Do not work with anything else. I try to find out change the settings uninstall and install again. I read and used any of the advise which I find in internet.  Nothing. Its working only with plain paper which is used to print documents. Useless!!!! I do regret this purchase. I do regret then its out of warranty. I think its made in purpose to pay for additional post warranty service. I was thinking abut HP Envy laptop. Thanks God I do not buy it. I expect then it will be the same problem after one year. Any answer? Any sensible answer why something work only until the warranty period finish? It must be something going on, because I find out then I'm not alone with this issue.

I understand you are getting an "Out Of Paper" error message on your HP ENVY 6000 Printer. Not to worry I will help you to get a resolution to resolve the issue.

 

Let's perform a power drain: 

  • With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer and also unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
  • Remove USB cable, if present.
  • Wait for 2-3 minutes, press and hold the power button on your printer for about 30 seconds to remove any additional charge.
  • Now plug back the power cable straight to a wall outlet without any surge protector or an extension cord (This is important) and then plug back the power cord to the printer.
  • Turn on the printer and wait till warm-up period finishes and the printer is idle

Update the printer firmware 

 

  • Click here to download and install the latest printer firmware from your product
