Hi @Hermann5,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

A flashing blue light on your HP ENVY Inspire 7255e means the printer is in Wi-Fi setup mode or has lost its wireless connection. Since your Mac can’t see the printer, here’s how to fix it:

1. Confirm Wi-Fi Setup

  • On the printer screen, go to: Setup → Network Settings → Wireless Setup Wizard
  • Reconnect to your Wi-Fi network (make sure it’s 2.4 GHz, not 5 GHz).
  • Enter your Wi-Fi password carefully.

2. Restart Devices

  • Power cycle your printer, Mac, and router.
  • This clears temporary network issues.

3. Use HP App

4. Check AirPrint

  • On your Mac:
    • Go to System Settings → Printers & Scanners.
    • Click + and see if the printer shows up as AirPrint.
    • If not, ensure both devices are on the same Wi-Fi network.

5. Reset Network Settings (if needed)

  • On the printer: Setup → Network Settings → Restore Network Defaults
  • Then repeat the wireless setup.

💡 Tip: If your router uses a combined SSID for 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz, temporarily split them and connect the printer to the 2.4 GHz band.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
