Product: Officejet 6700 Premium
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.10 Yosemite

Our printer had been working great and then we started receiving the message that there was a printer or ink system failure. We restarted the machine and followed the tutorial but realized that the magenta ink had leaked all over the printhead. Is the printer usable after this? I'm cleaning it with q-tips but there is so much ink. I'd appreciate any advice. Thank you.

The ink leakage is not normal in any printer and this is considered to be a hardware issue that requires servicing of the printer.

 

Please reach out to the HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer.
