HP Envy 5532
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Is there a downloadable comprehensive manual for my HP printer Envy 5532 please ?

I have never understood all the scanner features or managed to find a manual that explains all the features.

The software on my computer is all up to date according to HP Print and Scan.

There is a 103 page user guide for the printer but only 2 pages of that cover scanning and many features are not explained in the user guide.

For instance when I start the scanner the software displays 3 panels side by side with the left hand panel showing various extracts of the scanned document and the central panel showing part of the scanned document.

What I want is the scanner to auto detect the document being scanned and scan it all and not break the document into a series of smaller scans.

But I would like a detailed manual so I can read up for myself how to use all the features.

Hi,

I downloaded not one manual, hundreds of them for different printers and from my reading I don't know what do you mean "detailed manual can covers every feature that the customer has available in the software interface".

The following software (for Windows only) may give more options

      ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/scanners/HPScanExt/HPScanExt.msi

Note: your printer does not have scan to editable text software.

Regards.

@John551

The following link shows them all

Note: All HP Envy 553x (x = 0 to 9) printers use same manuals for 5530 series.

Thanks for your reply.

I have read the 3 guides on the support page.

The most detailed guide only has 2 pages on scanning and most of the scanning options are not mentioned in the guide.

Do HP provide a detailed manual can covers every feature that the customer has available in the software interface ?

Thanks.

Thanks for the link to the extended features.

I have downloaded and installed the extended features and my scanner is now working really well. It is auto detecting the size of each document being scanned. I am very pleased. Thanks for your help.
