A very warm welcome to the HP community. A very good day to you.
I understand that you have an HP Officejet 6600 e-All-in-One Printer and it runs out of memory while collating. You would like to know if the memory can be increased. I'll certain answer your questions.
I would like to know the following information to assist you better:
- Usually, the printer runs out of memory when you try to print a large file with lot of pages in it. Does this happen on your printer while printing a just a few pages too?
- Does the error message appear on the printer or the computer?
Meanwhile, I did some research and found that the printer memory cannot be increased. Instead, the workaround that you may try is to print few pages first and then again a few pages from a large file.
Please do let me know what happens. All the best! 🙂

I did just that. Each time it ran out of memory, it would print. Then I would press copy and resume. A pain, but I got the job done eventually. It was the printer that ran out of memory. Probably the next time I'll, scan to computer then print. Thanks much for the reply.

Hi @Dannno, I am the @Chimney_83. It looks like you were interacting with @MKazi, but he is out of the office today so I'll take over from here.
Thanks for the reply. Do you get the out of memory error while making copies or while printing?
If you get the error while printing, you can use the Windows built-in driver to overcome the issue. Click here to know more.
If you get the error while copying, please update the firmware on the printer by downloading it from www.hp.com/drivers (Have the printer connected to your computer through a USB cable during the update.)
Alternately, if you are getting this error while copying, then please make copies of fewer documents at a time.
