Tried taking cartridge out, cleaning, replacing cartridge, turning power off.

 

Could really do with speaking to an actual technical person but that seems impossible?

If you have already performed the steps from the document Error Indicates Faulty Ink Cartridge and the issue persists, it could be a hardware failure.

Please reach out to HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer.

 

If you are having trouble navigating through the above options, it's most likely because the device is out of warranty. If yes? please send me a private message with the region you are contacting us from. Check next to your profile name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it.

luckily I bought the printer from John Lewis. John Lewis actually had a phone number to ring for technical support. Because I had exhausted all the troubleshooting on the HP website and over the phone went through more with them they also came to the conclusion that it was hardware. I subsequently took the printer to their store a week ago. Therefore they were much more helpful than HP where I still can not find a phone number for and it has taken a lot longer to get a reply. Given reply above what was I then meant to do about a hardware problem?
