My printer will feed the paper through, sound like it's printing but then spits out a blank sheet of paper.  I have installed and uninstalled and installed again, there is ink in the cartridge and can't get it to print.

@LissaJo, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Let us try printing a print quality diagnostic report and check if it works to conclude if this is a hardware or a driver issue.

  1. Load plain paper into the tray.

  2. Press and hold the Power button ().

  3. Raise and lower the front cover three times.

  4. Release the Power button ().

The print quality diagnostic report prints.

  5. Check ink levels, and replace low or empty cartridges

  6. You may watch this video for a better understanding. If the print quality is not acceptable, proceed to the next step.

Clean the area around the ink nozzles and reinsert the ink cartridges

I followed the advice of the steps to pull the diagnostic report.  However, when the issue is that it prints blank pages, it's hard to read the invisable results on the paper. I am connnecting mine to a Dell Windows Computer.  Agrr

  3. Press down on the cartridge that has the issue to release it, and then pull it out of its slot.

       CAUTION:

Do not remove both cartridges at the same time. Do not leave a cartridge outside the product for more than 30 minutes.

  4. Place the cartridge on a piece of paper with the ink nozzles facing up.

  5. Lightly moisten a clean, foam rubber swab with distilled water.
