HP Deskjet F4180

Hi there,

My HP printer does not seem to print centered, the print is aligned to the top of the paper. I am trying to print a booklet hence the importance of a centered print. I have tried printing through different software but get identical results. My settings are fine I believe, the paper size selected is correct (A4) and I am on a scale of 90% to avoid any bleeds or cut-offs.

Noticed that in the preview screen of my printing dialogue box the print seems to be perfect.

Specifications:
Printer: HP Deskjet F4180

Computer: Macbook Pro OS Sierra 10.12.6
Printing .PDF through Adobe Acrobat Reader DC

Hi @hadoboirudo

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you with the  "not aligned to center" issue.

Try the steps below -

  1. Open the Finale file in question.
  2. Choose File > Page Setup.
  3. Choose the Manage Custom Sizes option from the Paper Size drop-down menu.
  4. Click the "+" button in the lower, left-hand corner to add a custom page size.
  5. Type the needed values in the Width and Height fields. The default is inches, so in this case "8.5" and then "11" respectively.
  6. Then, in the four fields below, in the Non-Printable Area section, make sure all of the values match. You will notice in most cases that the values say something like ".25 in" all around, except for the Bottom field. Change the Bottom field value to match the other fields' values ("25 in." in this case).
  7. Please feel free to rename the page size by clicking on the name in the column to the left, and then click OK when you are finished.
  8. Click OK again to close the Page Setup dialog box.
  9. Try printing.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Hi @Jay_G24,

Unfortunately, this doesn't help because I assume you misunderstand which software I am trying to use. I am trying to print a PDF FILE through ADOBE ACROBAT READER DC. The options you mentioned above are not available in Acrobat, unfortunately. Add to that, that I tried printing through Preview and had the same results.

Kind regards,

Jessey
