ENVY 5640
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

The printer is working perfectly except that Cyan isn't printing at all since I replaced the cartridge, which is a genuine HP colour cartridge. There are no error messages

The troubleshooting steps in the document here may help resolve cyan not printing on your Envy 5640.   In a pinch you can try the following:  get a teacup and put 1" of hot (but not boiling) water in the cup.  Remove the cartridge and place it nozzles down in the cup.  Let it sit for ten minutes, then remove the cartridge and carefully dry the electrical contacts with a lint-free wipe.  A clean coffee filter works well for this.  After drying the electrical contacts dampen a clean area of the wipe and gently blot the damp wipe against the nozzles.  A good cartridge will leave a strong blot of cyan, magenta and yellow.  If the cyan remains weak or non-existent you will need a replacement cartridge.

HP cartridges do have a warranty, see the document here for information.
