Product: HP MFP M278-M281

My Usually reliable HP Color Laser Jet Pro MFP M278-M281 printer purchased in 2019 suddenly will not turn on..used in same wall outlet (plugged directly in outlet...not in surge protector) since 2019. Other appliances work in same outlet to confirm function of outlet. Change in power cord helped 2 days ago...no longer does. ?Cause..?

If you can get it to start up again I suggest that you perform a full reset. This could be an issue with the DC controller or could be a failing power supply. When it does not start up do you hear any fans or any other sign of life, even for a brief instant?
