My printer is only printing colour and no black.  On the HP Smart app, the ink levels are showing almost full.

I have followed all the steps outlined on the support page to clean the heads, etc. but it makes no difference : https://support.hp.com/gb-en/product/model/12319824/document/c05379368

 

I am using the standard cartridges that HP sent me as part of my HP Instant Ink. They about three months old and I have done very little printing - less than 10 pages per month.

 

I am attaching a photo of a Print Quality Report, and also the home screen of my HP Smart app, showing the estimated cartridge levels.

 

Any help or suggestions please?

Get a dish and put 1/4" of hot water in it.  
Remove the black cartridge and put it nozzle down in the water.  
Let it soak for five minutes, then remove and clean the contacts with a lint free wipe.  (coffee filter)
Put it back in the printer and run a cleaning cycle.

Thanks for the advice.  I have done that and performed an enhanced clean cycle, and the black ink is flowing now.  However there are white streaks on the black prints as can be seen in the latest print quality report.  Anything else I could try to eliminate this ?

You can try cleaning the black cartridge again, if that does not help then you will need to replace it.
