HP Deskjet 3510 e-All-in-One Printer

I recently switched to AT&T Air and I cannot get my printer to connect to the new Wifi.  I have tried on the HP website, the App and nothing is working.  I cannot get it to connect by clicking the WPS button or manually through the app.  It is not working at all.  HELP

Hi @vsp1973,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I understand that you are facing connectivity issues. I’d like to help!

Make sure, your printer and your device are on the same network as 2.4GHZ only.

Switching to a new Wi-Fi network, especially with a service like AT&T Air, can sometimes cause issues with older printers like the HP Deskjet 3510 e-All-in-One. Here's a step-by-step guide to help you reconnect your printer to the new network:

1. Reset the Printer's Network Settings

  • Power on the Printer: Make sure your printer is turned on.
  • Access the Wireless Menu:
    • On the printer's control panel, press the Wireless button.
    • Navigate to the Settings menu.
    • Select Restore Network Defaults and confirm your selection.
  • This will reset the printer's wireless settings, removing the previous network configuration.

2. Reconnect to the Wi-Fi Network

  • Using WPS:
    • Ensure your AT&T Air router supports WPS: Not all routers have this feature, so double-check your router's documentation.
    • On your printer, press the Wireless button and hold it until the wireless light starts blinking.
    • Within 2 minutes, press the WPS button on your router.
    • The printer should connect automatically to the network. The wireless light will stop blinking once connected.
  • Manually Connecting via the Control Panel:
    • On the printer's control panel, press the Wireless button to open the Wireless Settings.
    • Select Wireless Setup Wizard from the menu.
    • Follow the on-screen instructions to select your network and enter the Wi-Fi password.
  • Using the HP Smart App:
    • If the above methods don't work, try using the HP Smart app on your smartphone or computer.
    • Ensure your phone/computer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
    • Open the HP Smart app, and add a new printer.
    • Follow the on-screen instructions to connect the printer to your network.

3. Verify Printer Connection

  • Once connected, print a Wireless Network Test Report from the printer's control panel to ensure that the connection is successful.
  • On the control panel, press the Wireless button, navigate to Print Reports, and select Wireless Test Report.

4. Restart Devices

  • Restart both your printer and your AT&T Air router to refresh the connection.

5. Reinstall Printer Drivers (if needed)

  • If the printer still doesn't connect, it might be necessary to reinstall the printer drivers on your computer.
  • Visit the HP Support website to download the latest drivers for your HP Deskjet 3510.

If you've followed all these steps and the printer still isn't connecting, the issue might be specific to your AT&T Air router's configuration. In that case, you may need to reach out to AT&T support to verify the router settings or see if there are any firmware updates available or you may also reach out to HP phone support for further assistance.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance
