HP Envy photo 7855 printer
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

Hello,

I have been using my HP Envy Photo 7855 printer for over a year without any issues. I only use it to pring on regular paper and I never use it to print photos.

Suddently, I am getting an alert asking me to reload the photo paper tray as it is empty! (It has always been empty since I don't print photos on my printer). This alert message will not go away and my printer doees't let me print on regular paper as I always have been able to do it before...

I tried many possible solutions none of which have been successful yet.

Can anyone please help me find the solutions to this problem so that I can resume using my printer to print only on regular paper? This is urgent....

Gaelyne

Many thanks to all for your help

It sounds like the printer has inadvertently been set to use the photo tray.  Try the following:  go to Control Panel, Devices and Printers.  Right-click on the Envy Photo 7800 series printer and select Printing Preferences,  Paper/Quality and select the Paper Source  Input Tray as Main Tray, OK.
