I'm really sad to share here that my printer stop working forever after an automated update. This is the default configuration from HP and firmware update is the suggested operation to do.
But this fail, so HP damage my hardware, so I need a restore. But this company is acting as a scam company and they ask 480 euro for the reparation. This is more than the cost of the printer.
So I think that they on purpose send damaged firmware, destroy your printer and ask for money to restore it.
This is the same as a RANSOMWARE!
I'm the only one suffering this?
I'm going to open an official claim and ask for the damage.

I understand your frustration. What is wrong with your printer? Does it power up? What error is displayed on printer's control panel? Can you hear motor/belt movement on start up?
I am a forum volunteer. I do not represent or work for HP.

Thanks for your mail.
Currently the printer power-up, I can hear the belt and drum initializing their position, I hear the fan start spinning, but after a while it stops. So looks like the mechanic of the printer is ok.
But after 30 secs the fan start spinning at max speed, as it when it is printing.
In the meantime, the display lights up, but it stays white, no message at all.
Same for USB and same for Ethernet port
I try all the options the technical service provides me, but no way! The printer is not working at all.
My frustration grow more as soon as I discover that HP has been fined for illegal practice on firmware updates on printers!
So I am putting a tin cap on my head and start thinking this is a conspiration to steal money from my pocket!
Since I have in no way contributed to creating the damage, and I have no control at all over the firmware update, on the firmware, and or on the hardware, and HP is the only responsible, I want to be refounded for the printer and for the damage.
Now I had open a complaint with HP let's see how it goes, but as it is now, I NEVER buy anything else from HP!
I say NEVER
Thanks for listening.
