I had the same issue. After a 2 hours chat with the helpdesk of HP, I  was advised to buy a new printer. I did buy a new one, but it was not a HP printer. Never again.

My IT department uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers and it has been working fine since doing that.

I have the same problem, even after resetting the printer.  Please advise.

What worked was updating the printer's firmware, which is downloadable from HP support - don't remember where exactly. You need to select your printer model from a very long list. After the update, the problem went away.

See what worked for me for my M201dw. It may or may not work for you.

All you need do is follow the instructions to update your device's microcode as described in my previous reply to the forum.

Start by going to hp.com

choose support

choose 

software and drivers

You'll be asked to identify your printer

select it and procced from there. 

Download the update to your printer's "microcode"
