Hi @KMAC2023,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP DeskJet Plus 4140 All-in-One Printer shows as "Ready" but is not printing, follow these troubleshooting steps.
Check the Printer Queue
- Open the printer queue on your computer:
- Windows: Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers, right-click your printer, and select See what's printing.
- Mac: Go to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners, select your printer, and open the queue.
- Cancel any pending or stuck print jobs:
- Right-click each job and choose Cancel or select all and clear the queue.
Restart the Printer
- Power off the printer, unplug it from the power source, and wait for 60 seconds.
- Plug it back in, turn it on, and check if it prints.
Check the Connection
- Wireless Connection:
- Ensure the printer is connected to the correct Wi-Fi network.
- Test the connection by printing a network configuration report:
- Hold the Information button until all control panel buttons light up, then press the Information button and Resume button simultaneously.
- Verify the printer's IP address matches your computer's network.
- USB Connection:
- Ensure the USB cable is firmly connected to both the printer and computer.
- Try using a different USB port.
Check Ink and Paper
- Ensure the printer has enough ink in the cartridges and that they are properly installed.
- Check the paper tray for proper loading and no paper jams.
