It's ridiculous how you have to have warranty to speak to an agent about issues your having with there products. My officejet 6962 printer doesn't print black color and I'm using genuine hp inks that was sent to me by hp, so it's not the ink. I tried to automatically clean the printhead about 20 times and no different. I tried to do print align but that failed because the paper that comes out does have any black so when i scan to do the alignment it doesn't recognize anything. I can't do a manual clean because the printhead doesn't have a clutch on it to take it out, so I'm assuming it's not removable, so if anyone have any solution that could help that would be greatly appreciated

I had the same problem as you last week. Really got my goat that HP couldn't solve it and tried to sell me a new printer since mine is out of warranty. I took my problem to a google search and we aren't alone. But I did find this YouTube video that solved the issue for me. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uDdTHa38vBw&t=35s .
The video says you have about 5 minutes before the printer sends the carriage back to maintenance position, so watch your fingers. Here are the steps:
1. Remove the ink cartridges
2. slide the printhead all the way to the left
3. place a slightly damp paper towel underneath where the printhead moves, press down firmly to get it flush so the head can pass over it. (I struggled with this, and ended up just holding the corner of it until I could get the head over it)
4. manually slide the printhead back and forth several times. I had to use 2 paper towels and refolded both because the black ink covered them quickly.
5. replace the ink cartridges.
my step 6. run the clean print-head cycle a few times. I still had some fading/streaking so I think I did the 3 cleaning cycles twice before I was satisfied. Black in and color prints look perfect again
There is also a video that suggests contact cleaner spray for electronics. I don't have any and didn't try it, but the wet paper towel worked.
Goodluck! I'd be interested to know if this works for you. I'll be posting this to other threads complaining of the same problem because I'm willing to bet most of us don't need a new printer.
