Hi @Fatasama

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

I understand how frustrating it must feel when the printer shows as connected but doesn’t allow printing. Thank you for already trying to connect it to your mobile. Let’s carefully walk through steps to restore smooth printing:

Check the Printer’s Wireless Connection

  • Ensure the printer is connected to your Wi-Fi network, not directly to the mobile hotspot. Printers cannot provide internet; they need to join the same Wi-Fi as your mobile device.
  • On the printer’s control panel, confirm the wireless icon is steady (not blinking).

Reconnect the Printer in the HP App

  • Open the HP App on your mobile.
  • Remove the printer if it is listed as unavailable.
  • Add the printer again by selecting “Set up a new printer” and follow the guided steps.

Verify Mobile Device Connection

  • Make sure your mobile is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as the printer.
  • If you were trying to connect the printer directly to your mobile hotspot, switch to a Wi-Fi router connection instead.

Restart Devices

  • Power off the printer, wait 30 seconds, then turn it back on.
  • Restart your mobile device and reopen the HP App.

Run Diagnose & Fix in HP App

  • In the HP App, go to your printer settings.
  • Use the “Diagnose & Fix” option to automatically check and repair connectivity issues.

Update Firmware and App

  • Ensure the HP App is updated to the latest version from your app store.
  • Check if the printer firmware update is available through the HP App.

These steps should help the printer appear as available and allow printing again. Would you like me to also share the exact steps for connecting your Smart Tank printer to Wi-Fi using the control panel buttons?
