My laser printer says in Swedish "Probl.förbr.mtrl" meaning problems with consumption material. In the display is a ? for all four colors. I have recently changed all color cartridges. In HP Smart it says that the printer cannot find the memory for the toner cartridges.

No, I don’t use a Mac. I have heard that it is the new printer software update (downloaded automatically) which does not accept toner cartridges from a third  party supplier. It will only accept the original HP products now. Everything worked correctly until yesterday, but this happiness endes abruptly.
