Hi @Asma52,

If your newly installed pink (magenta) ink cartridge is displaying an error and preventing printing, please try the following troubleshooting steps:

Troubleshooting steps:

  1. Verify compatibility
Confirm that the magenta cartridge is compatible with your specific HP printer model. You can check the cartridge packaging or refer to HP’s official website for compatibility details.

  2. Inspect the cartridge
Remove the cartridge and ensure that all protective tapes or seals have been fully removed. Also, check for any visible damage or ink leakage.

  3. Reinstall the cartridge
Reinsert the cartridge carefully into the correct slot and make sure it is firmly seated and clicks into place.

  4. Clean the electrical contacts
Power off the printer and unplug it. Remove the cartridge and gently clean the electrical contacts on both the cartridge and the printer using a lint-free cloth or a cotton swab lightly moistened with distilled water. Allow the contacts to dry completely before reinstalling the cartridge.

  5. Reset the printer
Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source for about 60 seconds, then plug it back in and power it on. This can help clear temporary software or communication errors.

  6. Update the printer firmware
Check for any available firmware updates for your printer model. Installing the latest firmware can resolve certain cartridge recognition or compatibility issues. Updates are available on the HP Software and Driver Downloads page.

  7. Test with another cartridge
If possible, try a different magenta cartridge to determine whether the issue is related to the cartridge itself or the printer.
