Operating System: Microsoft Windows XP

Hi, I know my printer is old, however it has been great up until now. Some documents that I tried to print from my also old computer to my printer only come up as a proximately 4x6 rather than full letter size. I have changed settings on my computer and settings on my printer to no avail. tia!!!

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you. This seems like an issue with the printer driver.

 

Try making a standalone copy and check if that works. By this, we can conclude if this is a hardware or a driver issue.

 

The printer driver is not available for HP OfficeJet 5740 e-All-in-One Printer on the Hp Support site. However, you may install the printer using Windows built-in driver.

Refer to this document to know how.

Try printing.
