When I enter serial number, I get incorrect.  I did reset from screen, but when I set up it told me OX85DE598

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding the error code "OX85DE598" on your printer!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

 

Try these steps:

Reset the product

  • With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
  • Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
  • Wait at least 60 seconds.
  • Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
  • Reconnect the power cord to the printer.
  • Turn the printer on. HP recommends plugging the printer directly into a wall outlet.

 Also, try updating the printer's firmware - HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware 

 

 

Use the control panel to turn off the IPv6 setting.

From the home screen on the printer control panel, swipe the display to the left, and then touch Setup.

Touch Network Setup, and then touch Advanced Settings.

Turn off IPv6, and then touch Yes to confirm.
