My print preview is recently showing my documents and email with minimal margins.

The printer prints like that and sometimes off the page.

How do I return to normal margins?

The short answer to "printing off the page":  Use Shrink to Fit or similar

General Information

The printer is not aware of what it is printing.

The printer supports small margins on all sides.

Print Margin Bottom (A4)3.3 mm
Print Margin Left (A4)3.3 mm
Print Margin Right (A4)3.3 mm
Print Margin Top (A4)3.3 mm

Document -- and image - structure is controlled in the software / application used to create the original document.

Structure includes margins, where and how text is managed, (document) layout, embedded / inserted images, and design.

Print job setup depends on the software / application you are using to open, view, configure, and submit the job to the printer.

Print job configuration depends a great deal on the Operating System / version you are using.

In addition to the Operating System / version of the computer / device you are using,

Print job configuration selects how the print software or application interprets the structure of the content.

For example,

Word documents include all the structure for the document.

Margins are part of the Word document structure.

For example,

Use "Normal" margins to create wider margin around the document content.

Use "Narrow" margins to create a smaller (1/2 inch) margin around the document content.

Use "Custom" margins to mange the content closer to the edge.

All the content, including any footer, header, or other field data must be inside the printer's "printable" area.

Exporting and saving the Word document into PDF format allows PDF print software to be used to print the document.

Margins as created in the original document are translated to the PDF file.

Adobe Reader DC includes a number of methods to print the PDF file at original size, shrink to fit, percentage of 100%, and even Poster for printing documents at any "larger" size.

HP Smart - Windows, MacOS, and Mobile - can print PDF and Photo (image) files.

PDF documents that are part of a received email include whatever structure was present in the original document and then Exported to PDF.

Content - including email content -- that is downloaded and saved to PDF contains the structure of the content as interpreted by the Operating System that is used to download and save the content to the computer or device.

Email that is printed from within the email software depends on whatever Operating System you are using AND the software / application used to interpret the email message into something the printer understands -- some email clients are smarter than others.

Web Browsers -- and printing from within the Browser environment tend to include some type of "Scaling" to allow "Fit to page" or similar.
