Response Edited:  Check for any paper jams as a first step. Then follow the steps below:

 

That error is a pen temperature error. part of the printhead. Customer troubleshooting steps as follows:

 

  1. Turn the printer off.
  2. Clear the paper jam and check the printer for other sheets in the paper path.
    If no paper is found inside the printer continue to the next step.
  3. Turn the printer on. If the paper jam is detected and cannot be removed, **bleep**.
  4. Power Drain unit:
    1. Turn the printer off.
    2. Disconnect the power cord from the back of the printer, then wait 10 seconds.
    3. Reconnect the power cord, and then turn ON the printer.
    4. Repeat these steps up to three (3) times if error does not clear
  5. Perform a power drain without the print cartridges:
    1. Turn the printer off and remove the cartridges.
    2. Turn the printer ON, then insert cartridges once the display prompts to insert cartridges.
    3. Wait for Ready status and perform a test print
  6. Next, please check what the room temperature is and if the printer has been stored below 5 deg C / 41 deg F.
    If printer has been stored below 5 deg C / 41 deg F, bring the printer to an environment greater than 15 deg C / 59 deg F and let it acclimate for 24 hours.
    Turn the printer ON after 24 hours and see if error still occurs.

My experience, this is usually a faulty printhead error.  Usually results in printer replacement.  Call HP.
