HP 1510 printer/scanner, Win 7
My printer has started to NOT print color. My ink levels are good(removed and cleaned the contacts), I've done the align ink cartridges, clean ink cartridges, and clean printer. No error lights are on.
After the cleaning, the test print pages look good. I did notice that print looks good when printing from a document, but when printing from a .jpg(a screen print) ---the blacks look like low black ink, and no color is printed.
I inserted a color picture into a document with black print...the black print came out looking good, the picture printed in B&W.
Anyone know what's going on? I used to be able to print in color.
So, bottom line...a color picture inserted into a document prints B&W, a color picture opened in my image viewing program does NOT print in color(the printer 'prints'....but nothing is printed...sheet is blank)
Somehow, the color cartridge is not being recognized?
Downloaded and ran the HP Print and Scan Doctor...test print only B&W. Did the 'clean printheads', and another test print, which was blank

Welcome to the HP support community.
Did you uninstall the printer driver from the root level before installing the driver?
If not, follow the below steps:
Perform root level uninstallation to remove all the printer related software's.
- In Windows, search for and open Programs and Features.
- Select your HP printer.

- Click on Drivers tab.
- Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it click on it and click Remove at the bottom.

I got as far as '2. Right-click the printer that you want to use, and then click Printing Preferences.'
There is no 'print color' option in the 'Layout' or 'Paper/Quality' tabs, nor in the 'Advanced Options'.

This might require remote access to the computer to fix the issue.
I request you to talk to HP support.
They might have multiple options to help you with this.

While I was in Control Panel-Devices and Printers, I noticed that one of my devices had a yellow triangle with a exclamation point in it. After opening it, this msg popped up:'There is a problem with the driver for Teredo Tunneling Pseudo-Interface. Reinstalling the driver might fix this problem.
While researching, I found this 'If you are using the IPv6, then you may need it. Teredo Tunneling is used to connect to IPv4 devices in the compatibility mode while you are using IPv6 yourself.'
While printing, does my HP1510 connect to the internet? As far as I know, I'm not using IPv6. If the printer does connect to the internet while printing, could this error affect my ability to print in color?

This might affect.
Use HP Print and Scan Doctor to fix this issue.
Download HP Print and Scan Doctor.
-
Run HPPSdr.exe from the download location on your computer.
-
Once HP Print and Scan Doctor opens, click Start, and then select your printer.
-
If your printer is not in the list, turn it off and on, and then click Retry.
-
If there is a connection problem, follow the instructions in HP Print and Scan Doctor.
-
-
If a screen prompts you to turn on printer updates, click Yes.
-
If a screen prompts you to make your printer the default printer, click Yes.
-
Try to print.
I hope that helps.

Ran the 'HP Print and Scan Doctor'...it said it was fixed. Printed the test page...it went through the motions of printing(very slowly...as if 'Max DPI' was turned on), but sheet came out blank. I was able to print a B&W page(an eBay shipping label) a few hours ago. I should mention that my printer is NOT connected to the internet....the only connection is the USB from the printer to my PC...the printer itself is not online(unless online connection is done another way?).
