Hi @gouse2 ,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you are getting streaks on printed output can be caused by several issues, such as clogged printheads, low ink levels, or incorrect printer settings.
Here are some steps to troubleshoot and resolve the issue with your HP ENVY Photo 7855 All-in-One Printer:
1. Check Ink Levels
- Ensure that your ink cartridges have sufficient ink. Low ink levels can cause streaking.
- Replace any cartridges that are low or empty.
2. Clean the Printheads
- Your printer may have an automatic printhead cleaning feature that you can access via the printer's control panel or through the HP Smart app.
- To clean the printheads manually:
- On the printer’s control panel, go to Settings > Tools > Clean Printhead.
- The printer will print a test page. If streaks still appear, you may need to perform the cleaning process 2-3 times.
3. Align the Printheads
- Misaligned printheads can also cause streaks.
- To align the printheads:
- On the printer's control panel, navigate to Settings > Tools > Align Printer.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the alignment process.
4. Use High-Quality Paper
- Ensure you're using the recommended type of paper for your printer. Low-quality paper can contribute to streaking.
- If you’re printing photos, use high-quality photo paper.
5. Update Printer Firmware
- Outdated printer firmware can cause various issues, including print quality problems.
- To update the firmware:
- Go to the HP Software and Driver Downloads website.
- Enter your printer model, and download the latest firmware update.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to install the update.
6. Manually Clean the Printhead Nozzles
- If automatic cleaning doesn't work, you may need to manually clean the printhead nozzles.
- Carefully remove the printhead and gently clean it with a lint-free cloth moistened with distilled water. Avoid touching the electrical contacts.
7. Check Printer Settings
- Ensure that your printer settings are correct for the type of print job you're doing.
- In the print dialog, choose the appropriate paper type and quality settings.
8. Perform a Test Print
- After performing the above steps, print a test page to see if the streaks are gone.

I hope this helps.
